Hi, my name is Fernanda, I’m Mexican and, a doctor in veterinary medicine. In June I’ll start an internship in large animal medicine and surgery at a Canadian University. In order to get my license to start my clinical practice at the hospital I had to demonstrate proficiency in English.
I felt insecure about my English level because it had been more than 2 years since the last time I took an English course, so I decided to find a course to prepare for the test. Fortunately, I found the Zlingo TOEFL Preparation Course announced on my social media, and I decided to enroll in the course because its schedules were very flexible, and it also offered the opportunity to take the recorded classes in case I could not attend the live sessions which was perfect to me because my job is very demanding and unpredictable as I had to attend emergency duties.
This course gave me the tools I needed to get the score the University was asking for, I understood that a great part of getting a high score is to understand the features and structures of every section of the test and how to approach them. During the course, I learned different strategies to approach every section with clear arguments and good structure as well as approaching them in the time required. I must admit that before taking the course I was really scared of the test because of the previous experiences of some of my friends who didn’t get a high score on their first try, but after finishing the preparation course I felt very confident the day of the test.
It’s my pleasure to write this brief review of my experience with the course, and I highly recommend it to anyone who intends to prepare for the TOEFL IBT test.
